| The death of my dad put me in a club that I never wanted to be a member of. The club of sons and daughters left behind. Usually clubs are organisations that people want to be members of, exclusive, sometimes underground and cool, offering a space where like-minded people can gather together to indulge their passions and interests. I have had badges made that say Dead Dad Club which I wear nearly all the time. Whenever I meet another club member we usually end up exchanging stories about our father's death. I give them a badge and take a portrait. So far I have about 150 members but it is a continuing project... the numbers always growing. |
